Pairs Trading Backtester
Stat-arb on S&P 500 equities.
- Built a backtest engine for mean-reverting equity pairs using Engle-Granger cointegration tests across the S&P 500.
- Implemented a rolling z-score entry/exit strategy with slippage and transaction cost modeling, evaluated on 10+ years of daily bars.
- Produced Sharpe, max drawdown, and PnL attribution reports with Monte Carlo sensitivity analyses on parameter robustness.

The goal wasn't the highest Sharpe — it was building a framework rigorous enough to trust the numbers it produces.
